Hints of sweet cherries and spice. With delicate flavors of red fruit and spice, this delicious selection lets Pinot Noir's signature smooth texture and food-friendliness shine.

A wine well-suited to anything you can eat en-route, especially pastas, pizza, and BBQ as you search for long-lost knowledge.

We sought our Pinot Noir from France, in an old region called Auvergne where Pinot Noir has been grown since the 11th Century.

The wine is made using traditional Burgundy methods (but no feet!) and is aged in tank on light lees.

Low carbon footprint: special lightweight glass, sustainable farming, local sustainable printer, recycled/recyclable paper.

Character Close

Colette throws you a rope and calls out, beckoning you to climb toward the flittering engine above. So up you go. Aboard, her eyes hold yours for a fleeting moment, and a conspiracy blooms. She is a devotee of discoveries and just like that, you become her second-in-command. She darts back to the wheel and holds a finger to the wind. "West," she announces and off you fly in her magnificent machine.

"Why West?" you ask.

"To find the eternal flame."

You laugh, heartfelt, though Colette does not join you. "But it doesn't exist," you protest. "It's like unicorns and dragons, a story to sing young children to sleep."

You catch the flying satchel just before it hits your head. The material slips through your fingers, silvery scales the size of a grown man's hand. "What is this?"

"Dragon skin. But as you say, such things don't exist."

"How did you – "

"Every story contains a grain of truth. The eternal flame exists and I mean to find it."

"Why?"

"It will make an excellent decoration for my mantle."

You doubt that very much, but remain silent.

"Don't you see? The eternal flame burns and never exhausts itself; it could power every steam engine in the world from now until Doomsday. If we find it, we can harness it and explore like never before."

"What if you can't harness it?" you implore.

Colette cocks her head at you. "The rules of logic apply. It must consume something, some inexhaustible resource, and I shall discover what." She pauses, considering. "You're not one of those magic people, are you?"

This time, she does join you in laughter.

The journey had only just begun.
